形态描述
体高而侧扁，体长为体高的3.2—3.6倍。自腹鳍基至肛门有明显的腹棱。头略小。吻短钝。无须。侧线位体侧中轴线之下和缓下弯，侧线鳞36—38。背鳍位置略后，起点在腹鳍基的后上方；臀鳍基部稍长。体侧无纵带。
生物学
This species inhabits the slow current in the Minjiang River and the Zhujiang River systems. Body deep and com-pressed, with a keel from the ventral to the anus. The body length is about 60-100 mm.
